Absolutely! But it's your call.
On any 'lesson' experience, once in the air your pilot instructor will offer to hand the controls to you after a briefing. If you feel confident enough (and there is no reason why you shouldn't be as you are in safe hands) then you can take control of the aircraft for a while.
This moment will be one you will never forget, and almost everyone we speak to that has done it for the first time recollects the buzz.
That said, if you're just enjoying the flight and the beautiful views and would rather not have a go at the controls, then sit back and relax and you're pilot instructor will happily fly the Plane or Helicopter for the rest of the flight.
Take off and Landing
If you're wondering if you will be taking any controls during the take off and landing, you'll probably be relieved to hear the answer to that is no! This is of course a highly-skilled part of flying and can only be done by your instructor.
