When you have your pre-flight briefing and checks, you'll gain more of an insight into this. Usually, you'll have it explained to you that pulling back on the stick pushes the elevators up (and the plane into a climb) and that pushing forwards will force the elevators down, so the plane will start to descend.
The pedals at your feet will control the rudder to help you turn, and moving the stick left or right will lift the ailerons left or right for you to make your turn. Your flying instructor will be with you throughout the duration of your lesson, so if you need a bit of hands-on guidance at any point, they'll be able to step in.
